BodyRefinery is a team of trainers. We each incorporate a piece of your training program into your workout.
All of our clients work with each of us on a consistent basis. Typically, no one trainer is assigned to one client.
We purposely vary your trainer to give you the very best in a well rounded program. We are a small, tight knit team
so your workout plan is consistently discussed and updated to continually meet your needs.

MICHAEL LUONGO has over 20 years of experience in health,
fitness and exercise. His background is well versed through education, career and personal experience. A graduate of
Kean University in New Jersey, he attained a BA in Psychology. His personal training certification is through AFAA.
During his schooling and early career as a trainer, Michael worked and studied with top trainer and body builder Elliot Negron
of New Jersey. He studied holistic and herbal healthcare at the Flynn School of Herbology in NYC. After a couple of
years working both as a personal trainer and an addictions counselor, he jumped full time into personal training. His
experience ranges from large corporate gyms to smaller private studios.
Michael moved to San Diego in 1998 and started to build his training clientele
in the North County area. In April of 2001, he opened BodyRefinery. Today, BodyRefinery continues to grow and thrive receiving awards for being San Diego’s #1
personal training studio. Michael continues to do personal training while
managing the business. Clients range from all age groups incorporating: general fitness, core training, sports rehabilitation,
sports specific, pre and post natal, youth fitness, and functional training. Michael’s background in psychology
and addictions counseling allows him to deal with the comprehensive food and alcohol issues which play a major role in most
of today’s weight and health related issues.
ALYSSA FREDRICK is a San Diego native. She graduated from the University of
Oregon where she had a four year basketball scholarship. Her training certification is through NASN. Some of Alyssa's
specialties are cross-training, sports specific and basic strength training. Alyssa also incorporates kettlebell training in
her programming depending upon your goals and interests.
